Description

This is a bilingual Spanish/English position. Candidate must be able to speak fluent Spanish and English. Preferably, Spanish as a first language.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Assist and support Loan Officers. Work closely with Loan Operations to help manage workflow from Loan Officer and Loan Processors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for, but not limited to:
    • Pull tax Card, Request appraisals
    • Complete loan information sheet
    • Assist with gathering financials; loan exceptions; Past dues; loan maturities
  • Correspond with centralized processing regarding loan documentation, loan closings, etc.
  • Back up as a remote Loan Assistant to assigned locations when other Loan Assistants are out.
  • Familiarity with and/or knowledge of perfection of liens, recording of UCCs, and collateral management practices related to commercial requests

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND TRAINING:

  • Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.
  • Basic knowledge of Bank loan, trust, and investment center products.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail, self-starter, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Knowledge of bank regulations
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Time Management
  • Knowledge with computer technology including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, E-Mail, internet navigation, and core banking platform.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Lift 10-20lbs periodically
  • Periodic travel

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Prior Loan Processing Experience, required.
  • Familiarity with residential loan disclosure requirements, preferred.
  • Knowledge of loan compliance regulations, preferred.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adhere to all state and federal regulations that pertain to this position including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Privacy and Fair Lending.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Privacy and Fair Lending along with industry best practices that pertain to this position.
  • Fluent Spanish/English; required.
